 Derek navigated an exciting and skillful nidan exam this past November when Ikeda Shihan visited our dojo. We are all very proud of his accomplishment!

 In mid-December our good friend, Jay Lindholm Sensei_ chief instructor of South Austin Aikido , received a letter from Saotome Shihan informing him that he had been promoted to the rank of sandan (3rd degree black belt). Jay Sensei is a delightful man with a huge heart and a big laugh. He treasures nearly every minute of the time he spends on the mat, and he is sincerely and selflessly dedicated to the well-being of his dojo community. He is so deserving of this acknowledgement.
