Aikido, the modern martial art! Aikido is an effective, nonviolent system of self-defense. In fact, many police agencies throughout the world include aikido techniques in their arrest tactics training. Yet the founder of aikido, Moreihei Ueshiba Sensei, talked of his creation as the art of peace and reconciliation. He often commented that the primary goal of aikido was to make better human beings. Amazing! Our dojo is full of bright shining stars! Every test candidate rose to the occasion and a number of them left the examining board wide-eyed in wonder! Rather than spending more time singing their praises, I'm going to get to work on getting the photos posted. The 'old saw' holds true, a picture is worth a thousand words. And, our parent photographers, Bernard Zee and Jason Tsuyemura, took a whole of pics... a whole lot. I have my work cut out for me! Congratulations to the following students on your advancements!
