Aikido, the modern martial art!

Aikido is an effective, nonviolent system of self-defense. In fact, many police agencies throughout the world include aikido techniques in their arrest tactics training. Yet the founder of aikido, Moreihei Ueshiba Sensei, talked of his creation as the art of peace and reconciliation. He often commented that the primary goal of aikido was to make better human beings.

Summer Camp in the Rockies 2009_ Saturday morning photo opportunity.

Last night Peter picked me up from the San Jose airport @ 11 pm. By the time I settled in it was pretty late and I must admit that I was really whooped! Yup... I did sleep in! I'm a bit too brain dead to write much but I did have enough energy to process some more photos . These are from the Saturday morning photo opportunity with the shihan. Enjoy!
